Pre-balance Bike

$5 Daily, $7.50 per Week, $10 per Month

Approximate Age Range: 12 to 24 Months

Pre-balance Bikes allow your early walker to focus on their footwork, rather than on keeping their bike upright. Most have 3 or 4 wheels for stability. Our friends at Two Wheeling Tots recommend some of our favorites:

First Balance Bike

$10 Daily, $15 per Week, $20 per Month

Approximate Age Range: 18 Months to 3 Years

First Balance Bikes are a perfect first 2-wheeler for your toddler once they have mastered the striding footwork on a 3- or 4-wheeler. They are lightweight and allow your child to practice basic balance biking skills. Here are some of our favorites recommended by Two Wheeling Tots:

Pro Balance Bike

$15 Daily, $22.50 per Week, $30 per Month

Approximate Age Range: 18 Months to 4 Years

Pro Balance Bikes have 1 or 2 hand brakes to learn braking with our hands, rather than with our feet. As your child really begins to glide fast with both feet off the ground, we recommend hand brakes to support lifelong biking skills. Two Wheeling Tots recommends these favorites:

First Pedal Bike

$25 Daily, $37.50 per Week, $50 per Month

Approximate Age Range: 2 to 6 Years

Our First Pedal Bikes are single speed bikes with 2 hand brakes to allow your confident glider to transition from a Balance Bike to a Pedal Bike without relying on training wheels. Depending on your child’s size, we recommend either 14” or 16” wheels for the best fit and 2 hand brakes to promote lifelong biking skills. One of our favorites is:

Pro Pedal Bike

$40 Daily, $55 per Week, $75 per Month

Approximate Age Range: 5+ Years

Pro Pedal Bikes have gears to allow your confident pedal bike rider to keep up with the rest of the family. We recommend 2 hand brakes to promote lifelong biking skills. Sizing is based on inseam length and rider confidence. Our favorite big kid bike is:

Age Range: All Ages!

Helmets are the most important piece of bicycle safety equipment to protect your child’s developing brain. We model and teach the importance of helmet use early and consistently. A helmet that is too large or too small will not protect your child’s head. Always get the perfect fit with our Helmet rental program.
